"Fabulous Way to Stay in Chicago"
Having recently moved from Chicago I was back for a weekend in the city for a celebration. Chicago Guest House provided such a fun way to stay in the city - in the heart of a great neighborhood - close to shopping and restaurants on Southport - with other neighborhoods and downtown easily accessibly via car, cab, public transit. The entire property was amazing and the Shoreline Suite was so well done - would definitely recommend.
Wonderful Wrigley Suite"
Coming from a hospitality profession, I strongly believe that service is what distinguishes two businesses apart. Not only does Teri provide remarkable service working with guests, but her home is so beautifully furnished that her guest service and home property share an equal incredible quality. It is a vary rare occasion that my large family has the opportunity to get together. This past weekend, my whole family was able to connect in Chicago for three nights at Teri's wonderful Wrigley Suite and we couldn't have been at more ease. Before arriving at the property Teri is extremely responsive to aiding in setting up your trip; she sends you a thorough, nicely organized information packet about what's at the home, how to get there (from all directions!), activities around town, parking, etc. Teri is always quick to pick up her phone or respond via email with any additional questions. Moreover, she is more than willing to work with guests on additional amenity requests and does so with a warm inviting attitude. Finally, the property itself is gorgeous -very nicely maintained, spacious, up-to-date appliances, clean, ready to go for each party and located in the perfect spot of Lake View. The street the house is on is sandwiched between two main streets: Southport with the grocery store, a line of awesome boutiques and restaurants and Clark Street notorious for a great nightlife scene and where Wrigley field is! All in all, I highly recommend Teri's property as she is a wonderful hospitality professional keeping up an outstanding property.

Teri--First let me say that we had a great time!!! Everyone kept raving about the apartments, how beautiful they were, especially that first floor! We were all exclaiming over how much difference it made to have everyone in the same space, as opposed to all separated off into their own hotel rooms. And everyone agreed that we want to do this again next year, including the first floor space. As I might have mentioned at one point, this apartment is within (long) walking distance of both relatives' apartments so the location couldn't be better. The mixup about accomodations really was wonderful for us. The staff were extra helpful on Thursday when we were getting settled and you were very patient with me about the combination. I really do appreciate it. Again, everything was perfect and we all agreed that, all other things being equal, we would like to do this again next year, including doing it the weekend before Thanksgiving

“Outstanding rental”
This place was amazing. The condo is beautiful, immaculate and convenient to everything. It is well-stocked and very spacious. It is nestled in a vibrant and interesting neighborhood with friendly neighbors and great shopping. Teri made arrival and checkout super easy and clearly takes great pride in her rentals. We can't imagine staying anywhere else when we come back. Don't miss out on this rental!
Great girls weekend getaway!
Every year my girl friends and I pick a new destination for a long weekend in the springtime. This year we chose Chicago and decided to stay at Teri's Chicago Guest House in Wrigleyville. First of all, the house is spacious and beautifully decorated! With seven ladies space can get tight, but the layout of the house made it such that we had plenty of room to relax and get ready for the day. Although we never used the back patio area, it was a nice option for an outside meal or happy hour! The location couldn't have been any better. We were able to walk basically everywhere we wanted to go (Wrigley Field, surrounding shops, the the "L", grocery shopping, etc.) which really saved us time and money. Teri made the checking in and out process very easy, and was extremely accommodating to our group as well. The house also had two other guest houses, and all of the other guests were respectful and pleasant, which made our experience even better. Teri, thanks so much for letting us stay in your lovely guest house and for all of the nice amenities (coffee, tea, spices, toiletries, etc!) I would definitely rent this property again!

"Me and the boys had a BLAST!!!!"
Just got back from Chicago on a boys golf trip. There were 10 of us and we occupied the first two floors. I planned the trip and was a bit nervous about the place since we stayed in a hotel the previous year, but that was the problem I had with last year, we were all in hotel rooms and didn't really hang out. This place was AWESOME!!! We were all able to hang out in the living room and watch the games and just chill until it was time to hit the town. The location was great. We walked to Wrigley for a game one night and then partied in the area surrounding. A couple guys made breakfast one morning in the good sized kitchen. I asked all the guys and they all gave it a two thumbs up, even the guys who had to share rooms......so that made me look like a hero..... Thanks Teri....it was an A+ time.....oh....and the golf wasn't bad either....

A great experience for our team
I have to start by saying thank you! My team of 11 colleagues stayed at the Chicago Guest House this past month and absolutely loved it. Every day we were working in elementary schools, and I was happy that we could all come home and have plenty of time and space to shower and feel comfortable. Between the four floors in the house, we had plenty of beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms for all of us. And don’t forget to check out the Jacuzzi in the basement! Amazing. The kitchens were beautiful, and very helpful for when we made breakfasts and lunches every day. Having a washer and dryer was an extra bonus my team was thankful for considering our heat wave that week! All week, we used three large vehicles, and were happy that two of them fit in the garage behind the house. Teri was nice enough to supply a visitor parking pass for the 3rd vehicle, which worked perfectly. But if not for our work at elementary schools, we wouldn’t have needed the vehicles! The neighborhood is incredible – we went to a Cubs game while there, and walked to Jewel-Osco, CVS, Whole Foods, etc. Everything was easily accessible and safe. And lastly, we loved using the back patio area. Every night we had a team meeting, and that was the perfect setting for us to come together and talk about our day. The Chicago Guest House was extremely comfortable for our team, and I’d recommend it for anyone. Thanks again to Teri for the great stay in Chicago!

"great choice for family stays"
"My extended family and I shared the top two floors of this building over Thanksgiving weekend, and it was really a great choice! First of all, the apartments were sparkling clean, with coffee, soap and other little amenities thoughtfully provided. The beds were comfortable and there was even a crib available for my baby niece (as well as a high chair, which we didn't use). Teri was always available on the phone, and accurately answered all our questions with friendliness and warmth. For our family, it was a much better--and much less expensive--choice than a hotel. "

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS
"My sisters and nieces have an annual shopping weekend and we meet in Chicago. We decided this year to try staying in a house instead of hotel rooms. Best decision we ever made about our annual "shopping weekend". In fact we have already booked our weekend for next year with Teri. We had everything we needed and Teri communicates promptly and really appreciates the business. The accomodations were oustanding and everyone raved about how comfortable the beds are. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed and we loved the tea and coffee! Thanks Teri for sharing your amazing home with us! We will see you again soon!"

“USNA 84 RANGER HO ANNUAL ADVENTURE”
Oct 18, 2010
Truly a CLASS ACT experience from start to finish ... Teri was simply the nicest ... her "hands-on" approach throughout was PERFECT ... her "directions" - "things to do" - "how to" - "ideas" were spot on and made our 3 day easy-fun. The accommodations were 5 STAR VEGAS in every respect ... small detail throughout. For a bunch of Marine-Navy guys it ranks at the top of our FUN METER places to stay. It has the USNA 84 RANGER guarantee ...LOCATION ... Location ...Location

"An amazing property"
"Magnificent property! Exceeded all expectations. Teri provided precise instructions for getting in from the airport (train and bus) and when she let us into the unit we were blown away. Gorgeous woodwork and built-ins. Three bedrooms (comfy beds), two baths (stocked with lotions, soaps and shampoos) compact fully functional kitchen with laundry, large dining room, ample living room with cable TV and stereo and a patio out back with gas grill. Teri is a superb hostess. She took the time to answer our questions and provided a binder of info on the area as well. Located three blocks west of Wrigley, we had easy access to trains (red and brown lines) and buses (you really don't want to drive in Chicago, do you? If you must, Teri has parking). Beautiful, safe neighborhood, good places to eat within short walking distance. The condo was spotless, exceptionally well stocked (enough fluffy towels for twice our number) and we felt right at home in its relaxing atmosphere before we even got our carry-ons unpacked. We will be back on our next visit (go, Cubbies!) and heartily recommend this property. "

Perfect Place
"My husband and I stayed with friends at this property and the apartment and the location were both fantastic! The apartment was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Everything was updated and well equipped. It was nice to come “home” to at the end of a long day of shopping and sightseeing rather than going to a hotel room. The neighborhood was quaint, clean, and safe. We were just a couple of blocks from bars/pubs, restaurants, and boutique shopping. Taxis were easy to find and the train was about 5 blocks away. We couldn’t have asked for a better location!
Teri was fabulous to work with and was so personable and accommodating. I would definitely stay at this properly again and will be telling others about it!

Teri--I just want to let you know that we loved the house and the location we stayed. Everything worked out so well for us. We had a great time in Chicago. I hope that we will go back again.
Thank you.

"Chicago marathon stay 2010 - to be recommended"
"I stayed in this house as a group of 8 friends to attend the Chicago marathon. We stay in houses and apartments for marathons all round the world and this is one of the better ones we have used. The booking process was very easy and Teri responds quickly to enquiries. The location is perfect. It is close to both red and brown lines which makes getting into the city very easy. The house is even closer to the train than it looks on the map.Travelling from O'Hare is very easy, we arrived by train and bus using the instructions provided by Teri and it was an easy journey even with suitcases.
The house itself is larger than it looks in the photos and I knew as soon as we walked through the door that we had made the right choice. The bedrooms are comfortable with heaps of wardrobe/drawer space. Even with 8 in the house we had room to eat and relax comfortably. My impression from the web site was that the house might be a bit cramped and slightly old fashioned, but quite the opposite, it far exceeds its description. There is a large basement laundry area which suited our needs as we had lots of sweaty running kit to wash and dry. The local area has lots of nice bars and restaurants and the large grocery store opening a block away will be a useful addition. We had a great meal at an Argentinian restaurant round the corner. Lots of coffee shops as well.
The property was very clean, with nice furniture and crockery, and there were lots of towels not just one each, which also makes life easier.
I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as an ideal place to stay when visiting Chicago. It is the sort of house I could happily live in permanently."

"The listing description and photos were “bang on” regarding this location, layout and the amenities were all great.
The property was very clean and well maintained, Terri (our Hostess) was gracious and an unexpected positive addition to our stay. Her knowledge of the area and her attention to detail was greatly appreciated. I would strongly recommend this property to a friend and/or relative and plan on returning again in the near future.
Our group used the location (Wrigleyville) as a home base to explore Chicago and take in Cubs games as well as other sporting events and attractions in the greater Chicago area.
After several years of Chicago based trips, stepping out of the downtown hotel scene and into Wrigleyville provided a refreshing and different experience. The ease of downtown access by cab or Red Line is very convenient or you can enjoy the local restaurant and bar scene just a few blocks away. After a busy adventurous day in Chicago, enjoying the relaxing calm nature of the neighborhood is undeniable.
Great call!

“A home away from home.”
Beautiful brownstone three flat unit that has been completely restored, while still maintaining its historic past. Exceptionally clean and detailed. Every amenity was present (including a beautiful and fully functioning kitchen - not a kitchenette) When you put the key into the door and walked in you had the feeling that you were walking into someone's home. The Hilton and the Marriott only wish that they could duplicate the warmth and charm of the Chicago Guest House. I highly recommend the Chicago Guest House to anyone who plans on being in Chicago for a day, a weekend, a week or longer.

Chicago Guest House
Okay, I read the other most recent reviews (including the awesome list of reasons to stay here) and it's all true. Terri was wonderful, she put together something I think she called "the book of everything", which had restaurant menus, maps, instructions on how to operate the tv, literally everything. Awesome for those of us unfamiliar with the area.
My sister and brother-in-law occupied the lower level with my nephew. They had a crib, gorgeous bathroom, and family room area. We also had a family friend down there on an air mattress. Upstairs my husband and I had a bedroom with a pack n play for our son and my mother and father-in-law had another bedroom. In all 7 adults, two children slept comfortably. One thing I couldn't tell before we arrived was whether we'd be in tight quarters with all those people. Not at all! Rooms are separated from each other, and living areas were great.
Probably the best part though was how accommodating the house was for my then 9 month old son and my 2 year old nephew. We had everything we needed - including two high chairs. Obviously other families have been there because every open outlet was covered! Awesome attention to detail for my curious crawler. Honestly there is no better choice when traveling with a group, especially young children. We were able to make bottles and meals just like at home thanks to the great kitchen. And when the kids were down we were able to sit in the fabulous courtyard.
Another thing to consider is the beautiful setting. We hired a photographer to come take photos (from groupon, tip - sign up when you plan your trip!) and they turned out beautiful thanks to the gorgeous ivy covered courtyard and lovely front steps to the house.
The neighborhood is fantastic, like everyone said, and you won't get this experience staying at a hotel. I took my son on several walks a day and I felt like we fit right in. The shopping was awesome - try the maternity/baby boutique, Krista K, where the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful.
I could keep going but I'll end now by saying that all these things added up to exceed my expectations and made for a great value. I'm trying to think of reasons to go back again with my family!

Another spectacular stay at Chicago Guest House
What's to be said that hasn't already been said? Teri's Chicago Guest House rentals are some of the classiest, homiest, friendliest, comfiest, easiest places you can stay, not only in Chicago but in any major city. The location is the best, the facilities match and exceed the photos you see online, Teri is very easy to deal with. It's just a first class operation all the way.
I'm a pretty picky traveler and on our most recent trip we traveled with our doctor friend and his wife. Since I had planned the trip, I was nervous but hopeful that our friends would enjoy the Chicago Guest House accommodations as much as we had on a previous visit to Chicago. I had no need to worry. They were blown away - and they are not typically very effusive in their praise of anything. We are all fairly well traveled and all agreed that this was our best trip in recent years and Teri's Chicago Guest house played a big role in that experience. There is no need to stay on Michigan Avenue, in fact I'd say you're really missing out if you do. I've stayed at some of the best, including recently at the Trump Tower which is a spectacular place, but none of them compare to the total experience at Chicago Guest House.
Reasons to stay at Chicago Guest House:
1) You want to stay in a real Chicago neighborhood on your Chicago visit.
2) You want to be within easy walking/El distance of everything.
3) You love first class and comfortable decor, bedding, furnishing.
4) You love art and classy interior design.
5) You like to have a little room to spread out when you travel.
6) You like to deal with helpful friendly people when you travel.
7) You're taking a guys trip or couples trip to Wrigley Field.
8) You're a drunk and like to be able to stumble home from one of a hundred bars without having to take a cab or drive.
9) You love walking a block or two to cool neighborhood bars and restaurants.
10) You're traveling with a group and want to have a living area, back porch, yard, deck, etc. to congregate, chat, BBQ, smoke cigars, drink beers, etc.
Reason's to avoid Chicago Guest House:
1) You have to have a spa in your hotel (there are several a block or two away though).
2) You have to have a concierge (although Teri's very helpful and has cool books with tons of info in each apartment).
3) You don't like to have fun.
Try it folks, I promise you'll love it!!!

“Excellent alternative to a hotel”
We had a wonderful vacation and plenty of room for everyone in the family to relax at night. This was so much better than staying at a hotel. We loved all the extra touches, the wonderful coffee, having essentials on hand, etc. This is right in the heart of North Chicago, walking distance to trains, Wrigley, and a wonderful shopping area of Southport. We had a wonderful time.
Thanks so much!
In one word the place was FANTASTIC
"We spent 4 days at Teri's Guest House in September of 2010. The reservation was made by a friend so we didn't really know what to expect. .
First, it's situated on a lovely and quiet street in historic Wrigleyville, within a very short walk of Wrigley Stadium and countless restaraunts and other entertainment establishments. The house was spotless and had every amenity we could have asked for, including what appeared to be a brand new and fully funcitonal kitchen.
Our unit had 3 bedrooms and could easily sleep 6 people. There were 2 separte washrooms, (which was a welcome surprise), each with its own shower. The flat was equipped with a modern (and once again spotless) washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board, satellite tv and a good quality stereo system. The interior decore was a beautiful mix of antiques and more modern contemporary furnishings. Aside from a full kitchen there was also a full dining room and a living room with a sofa and s number of arm chairs. The original woodwork of the building had been nicely preserved, as had the hardwood floors and oversized interior wooded doors. The cabinetry, granite countertops and stainless applicances made the kitchen look as if it had been lifted from the pages of a home decorating magazine.
Not knowing what to expect, we loaded up our suitcases with soaps, shampoo, towels, etc. Next time we'll known better and will travel 20 pounds lighter. The unit was completely turn key. It was fully stocked with more towels than we could have possibly used. The bathrooms had plenty of soaps, shampoos and hand lotion, and there were hair dryers for use.
We will definately stay in one of Teri's Guest Houses on our next trip to Chicago and have no hesitation in recommending Teri to anyone who plans to be in town for a day, a weekend, a week or whatever."

Teri,
My family had a great time while staying at your guest house on Lakewood St. I stopped by a few times while I was getting ready for my wedding on August 28th, and the house was a perfect fit for everyone in town. Thanks again for providing a great place for my extended family to stay together. It was a great location, all the rooms were very nicely decorated, and it had plenty of room for 20 people (age 9 months to 82 years) to relax, socialize, and sleep comfortably for the long weekend.

Teri,
I want to thank for your having such a marvelous place that we were able to use. I was concerned about parking the extended van but that worked out fine. When I spoke with my daughters after they met you for the keys and you worked around all our various arrivals it was the start of a perfect stay. The place was spectular! It was also comfortable and the first floor unit was great for the seniors and the visitors. I made the trek to the 3rd floor many times and it was really a nice arrangement for all of us. We were able to travel by vehicle, or public transportation to where ever we needed, and have small groups go their ways. We attended a Cubs game and it was great! While we are Phillies fans, the ability to walk to the house in less steps than we needed to get to our cars in Philly was unique. We have had many comments about how well the accommodations were and several asking if we would be going back, which is never out of the question!
Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness. It was greatly appreciated.

Hi Teri,
I'm sorry we never got to connect while we were in town but, I wanted to let you know how much we appreciated staying at your Lakewood guest house. We had a wonderful vacation and plenty of room for everyone in the family to relax at night. This was so much better than staying at a hotel. You have a great business. We loved all the extra touches, the wonderful coffee, having essentials on hand, etc. We had a wonderful time.
Thanks so much!

A note of thanks for the wonderful weekend we just had on Lakewood Ave. The house was beautiful and had everything we could imagine needing plus some. This was a terrific place to have a little family reunion. We, our children and grandchildren (4 families) were all together. Lakewood Ave. gave us "together time" we could not have had in hotel rooms. We had plenty of space to visit and hang out together after the little ones were put to bed. We took lots of pictures that will remind us of the beautiful house as well as our good times. A short walk took us through a lovely neighborhood to some great restaurants and our 4 year old grandson was thrilled to have his picture taken with the Cubs "Cubby Bear" mascot in front of Wrigley field. Lots of good memories. Thanks for a great stay! We will happily recommend your guesthouse to friends and who want to visit Chicago

A must stay property in Wrigleyville"
"We had the good fortune of staying in Teri's Wrigley suite in Wrigleyville, we had 2 families of four and everyone had a great time and are all looking forward to returning in the near future. The home was great and well cared for, everyone had plenty of room to relax and enjoy. This is a great location with easy access to the subway and also Wrigley field. Teri was a joy to work with and very accomodating, providing plenty of info of the surrounding area and things to do. I look forward to returning again and staying longer this time to take in more of the local flavor."

"Stayed here on May 13th thru the 16th, PERFECT place to stay, especially if Wrigley is a stop. Only 3 short blocks away from all the fun. Restaurants, Bars, Etc. House was as described and then some. Extremely clean, Teri was fantastic and reachable if need be. I plan on staying there again! Thanks Teri"

I have been BUSY playing catchup this week. BUT, wanted to tell you we LOVED the house and every single little nook and cranny! Thank you again for all your help with this! We will keep you in mind for ourselves in future and recommend you also!
We stayed at the Lakeview house over Christmas - three families from different parts of the country met to spend Christmas together. Terri took care of all the little details, from the Christmas tree, the linens and stocked kitchen, and the directions to any possible venue we might be interested in. Other than struggling to get a 50 pound bag up three flights of stairs, the place was perfect! We will be back again.

For an awesome stay, then this is your house!
This house was the best stay we have ever had, and we travel extensively. The layout was just as described, but even prettier! The property was clean as could be and attractive in every way. Our customer service was the best...Terri and I talked often to allow me to make plans for ouir trip. We were in town for a White Sox game, which the subway is only a 5 minute walk and a 30 minute ride to the game. We also went to the Cubs opener, a 5 minute walk and into another world! We were a 5 minute walk to hundreds of eating establishments, choices beyond imagination. We were please with every aspect of this home. The beds were as good as any I have slept on...the rooms kept the noise out, and we all slept well. I would recommend this home to anyone, with each of the floors having its own charm.
April 15, 2010
What a stay!!!! We rented the house for our business trip to Chicago and it was the best move we could have made. We had enough room to have our own space, yet we were comfortably able to meet and do work on the side. The home was exceptionally clean and neat, along with being tastefully decorated. We had two small children in our group and they had space to play in a safe environment. The location was A-one. We were close to the subway station, super close to eating establishments and Wrigley Field. I would recommend this property to families (one apartment) or to groups who need the extra space for many people. The ten bedrooms are all different and cozy. You will be pleased with the parking, as in Chicago it is crazy trying to find a parking space. Terri will take care of that issue for you. Her book of suggestions, on the dinner table, is helpful and easy to follow. She has directions to everything and it is an easy check in and check out system. Terri has gone out of her way to make sure you have everything ready for your stay. We will be back!

We stayed at 3715 Lakewood for a 4-day girls' weekend. 11 of us rented the 1st and second floor apartments. Absolutely phenomenal place, each apartment had a fully-stocked kitchen with all the amenities, plus each apartment has a jetted tub! It was so wonderful to be able to stay in the city in a comfortable, clean homey environment - 1000 times better than any hotel! I, for one, will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in Chicago. I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a great place to stay in an ideal location.

Great stay! Ten of my girlfriends from college recently traveled to Chicago for a girls weekend, during which time we stayed in the Wrigley and Shoreline suites. These units are abosolutely perfect for a group of our size; conveniently located, extremely comfortable, with all of the conveniences of home. We were all very impressed and greatly enjoyed our stay. Not only would I recommend these units, but I hope to have the opportunity to stay there again.

We stayed at the guest house this weekend and it was fabulous! All the comforts of home in such beautiful surroundings. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place!
January 13, 2010
3715 Lakewood Avenue was home to 14 college friends visiting from out-of-state to attend a reunion. We rented the 1st & 2nd floor apartments and had a GREAT time. I give the home and Teri, the owner, a 5 Star rating and we will definitely stay there again. The apartments are so well appointed all you need to bring is food and yourself. Everything else is provided and plenty of it.We were able to grill outside or cook dinner and breakfast for 14+ people and all the equipment and utensils were readily available. Plenty of space to work in the kitchen, eat in the dining, visit in living room, use the bedrooms and bathrooms and never once felt like you were tripping over one another. There is ample room to have a group watching TV, playing cards at the table, enjoying the outdoor patio and hanging out in the kitchen. The clean, comfortable and charming building was a great home base for us. Close to the “EL” and the activities on Southport. You’ll be happy that you found this rental.
December 31, 2009
We loved Chicago Guesthouse! My family stayed in the Wrigley Suite for 5 nights over Christmas. Teri had the apartment decorated for Christmas, tree and all. The place is so warm and welcoming, we immediately felt at home. Everything you need is provided...there were even a crib and highchair for my granddaughter. It's also a great walking neighborhood with shops and restaurants close by. It was such a wonderful place to stay and we all had a great time! Thanks, Teri, for providing us a great home away from home!
December 12, 2009
We had a wonderful experience at he Chicago Guest House. We had a surprise party for our dad, there were six couples total. We slept very comfortably in the nice warm beds. Great amenities and location. There wasn't anything that we wished for while we were there, it was above and beyond our expectations. One thing we especially loved was how quite it was. The location to shops an eating establishments was great, as well as the ease of getting downtown. We stayed in both the Wrigley suite and the Lakeshore suite, which were both amazing. Teri does a fabulous job at making you feel at home. The information book she has for your arrival answers any question you might have. Wonderful! We will definately visit again!
November 10, 2009
What a fabulous Chicago gem! My girlfriends and I absolutely loved staying in the Wrigley and Lakeshore suites in this hip little neighborhood. We were instantly comfortable and had every convenience we could possibly need and more. Since there were 11 of us, we rented both suites and could easily and safely go between them through the private indoor stairwells. The decor in each was swanky and chic, and the kitchens were completely gourmet. Each bedroom had cushy comforters and pillows, and the bathrooms were full of amenities. Location to boutiques and fun restaurants, as well as proximity to the city could not be beat. Will definitely return to this little gem.
November 3, 2009
What a terrific rental! We had a fabulous weekend all made special because of the accommodations! It was the perfect place for a group of old friends to gather. And the neighborhood was fantastic with lots of great places to check out within walking distance. We have told lots of folks about the place and hope to visit again when we can. Thanks so much for everything!
November 1, 2009
We have stayed at the Lakewood Avenue property for four years as part of a girls' shopping trip. The flat has so much space, well-appointed rooms and all the conveniences of home...all with a great location and price. I even broght my family back for a weekend because the place is so great. Teri is personable, professional and accessible. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to truly experience Chicago neighborhood living!
November 1, 2009
We love, love these apartments! We've stayed in the Lakewood floors one and two over the last several years and have had a GREAT experience everytime! It's great to stay with a group of people so you have the livingroom and kitchen to share. Everything is really topnotch!
10/29/2009
Unbelievable! Most excellent. Stayed in lower 2 apartments as part of a 7-couple reunion, and place was terrific --- ample space, great layout, nicely furnished, and everything you could possibly need! WOuld rent it again without question. Thanks!
10/29/2009
The Wrigley Suite is really beautiful. It has all the amenities you could want. The owner is completely organized and accommodating. We stayed for 3 nights and I could have lived there permanently!!
11/9/2009
I spent a fabulous four day weekend in the Wrigley apartment with 5 friends. Teri was there to greet us and orient us to all the offerings of the neighborhood. We were in walking distance to all our needs: shopping, restaurants, public transit and hailing cabs. This is a beautiful property and a wonderful location for enjoying all that Chicago offers. I'll be back!!!

We LOVED The Chicago Guesthouse! It was so comfortable, clean, conveniently located, and warm and inviting. It was SAFE - perfect for our girls weekend! The host had such a knack for attention to detail, we marveled by all the special touches in the apartment. When we weren’t discovering the city and everything Chicago has to do, we were enjoying our home away from home; i.e. sitting in the comfortable, sunny living area, sleeping in the warm, cozy beds, enjoying the kitchen, etc. Terri was a delight, she handled our reservation efficiently, promptly, and accurately. No stone was left unturned! When we return to Chicago, we will definitely stay at Wrigley Suite. Thank you, thank you.

Teri and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating! The property itself was great - nicely furnished with a GREAT KITCHEN! There was literally everything necessary for cooking, including seasoning which is something most places like this never provide. I had a house full of people, and everyone LOVED it. My kids especially enjoyed the jetted tub, which they used as a little swimming pool. If we happen to be in Chicago again, I would not stay anywhere else!

We felt like we found a jewel when we found the Guest House in Chicago for our family reunions. Teri is welcoming, gives attention to details, and makes the house feel like home when you enter. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, a spacious dining room and there's space for relaxing. And all at an affordable rate! There are wonderful ethnic restaurants in the neighborhood, and you're just a few blocks from the Red Line train which takes you into the City (Chicago) for sightseeing, theater, business, etc. Highly recommend!

My family and my sister's family stayed at the Wrigley Suite last Thanksgiving and LOVED it. Everything was confortable, beautifully appointed, and convenient. I highly recommend this place.

Hi Teri, I just wanted to comment on our stay here and in the upstairs flat, the Shoreline. We all enjoyed our stay so much! We are a group of U-Conn alums and spouses who get together every year or so, and all 14 of us commented on the comfort and quality of the furnishings, and called it our best gathering yet! The location was ideal being so close to the El, and yet being on a quiet street. Fred and I really loved going to the last game at Wrigley field. We found a great restaurant nearby, Mia Francesca a few blocks away on N Clark, able to accommodate us and had so much food we had leftovers for the next night in the apartment. We will definitely contact you for a return visit soon!

I stayed with my family in September 2009 for a long weekend. We found Teri to be incredibly helpful in organizing our details before our arrival and when we arrived, the apartment was lovely and clean. She is also an artist and has filled the apartment with fantastic art. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was modern. The neighborhood is great, also, and there are plenty of places to eat or go out. I would highly recommend it!

Lots of comfortable room and very well equiped. We loved the Spa tub, and hopefully will have that in our own home one day. A home away from home--nice to be out of the rush of downtown Chicago but close enough for events. Wonderful stay! Thanks Teri

We rented this lovely, well-run property for a large, multi-generational family gathering. It was terrific! The Best Place to Stay in Chicago

Every February 5 couples travel to Chicago. The men for the car show and the women for shopping. We have stayed in Teri's home for 4 years straight and can only say "wow". The home is beautiful with every last detail thought of. The furnishings, amenities, art work and personal touches she gives to the place are wonderful. She thinks of everything and is a delight to work with. This year we came up in the summer but she was already booked and rented from someone else with disastrous results. We kept saying if only we had rented from Teri. Take my advice - stay here if you can - you won't be sorry!!!

Our holiday stay was amazing! Every detail is perfect. Comfy bedding, a stocked kitchen, even a decorated tree. The inn keeper even discovered we had left some jewelry and promptly sent it back. I will never stay anywhere else in Chicago.

We have rented from Terry on several occasions and have been extremely pleased. She goes beyond the normal "fluff" and makes her rentals feel like a "home away from home". Not only are the spaces in excellent condition but little extras are everywhere including special delivery of items at last minute requests. We booked Terry's guest house the first time to help in planning our son's wedding. Our family came and stayed in one of her larger guest homes. It was a wonderful way for all of us to share time and feel like we were HOME spending time together. Since we live in a resort community, we are well aware of how rental properties are presented. Terry's put her own love into her spaces and takes personal pride in making each and every guest feel welcome and at home. We highly recommend booking space with her.

We absolutely LOVED staying at Terri's place. We have rented the Lakeview suite twice and could not have been happier! Our Chicago visit both times was for business and renting the Lakeview suite was more economical that renting 3 hotel rooms. The suite includes soft plush pillows and linens as well as clean towels. The suite is very clean and beautifully decorated. It is close to Wrigley Field as well as within walking distance to the subway or can easily catch a cab to downtown. We would definitely rent from Terri again. It was a wonderful experience and she made us feel extremely welcome.

What more can I say..but...WOW!!! Teri knows how to enhance the meaning of "hospitality". The Lakewood Suite is extremely well appointed. The kitchen is cozy filled with top-notch equipment. Livingroom comfy with room to breathe. The beds are heavenly after a hectic day of activity. Ahhh, the bathrooms ~ just right stuffed with towels galore. My favorite is the yard which reminds me of being ensconced within the lush greenery of Europe. The BBQ is a fantastic added touch rounding out a perfect vacation getaway. Also, the Lakewood Suite is steps away from the hustle and bustle, yet located in a quiet, mellow location. Fantastic for early morning or late night walks.
No need to look further ~ you have found your spot!

We just returned home from a wonderful stay in this lovely home. Our family stayed in the the Lakeview Suite and just loved it. It is just a short walk from Wrigley Field as well as many stores and restaurants. The house is beautifully decorated. We felt very much at home. The owner is very thoughtful and thinks of just about everything! I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Chicago. We plan on going back soon!!!
