Just wanted to thank you for the weekend. The house was awesome and more than we expected. Our bbq was a hit on Friday. Hi Teri,
We just wanted to thank you for the use of the Guest House. My sisters and I had a wonderful time together and the guest house fit our needs perfectly. The decor was beautiful and on that subject we had two questions. What is the color in the blue bedroom (I just finished painting a blue bedroom in my house and was not happy with the color but really liked the blue you used.) and where did you get the leaf patterned rug in the living room? We hope to return in the future with our 6th sister. Thanks, again.

We had a girls weekend at this house, so we ended up renting the top 2 floors. I am from the city and don't live far from the place and can not say enough great things. The place is great! The location is great! The house is completely stocked with everything you might need... I have already told everyone I know that if you need a space in the city this is where you should stay! FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Hi Terri, 1st of all we LOVED your neighborhood. What a great city! Everyone we met was so nice! Alinea was an amazing experience, not something we could do often, but fantastic. They gave Amy & I an additional course for our b-days. All was better than expected. Even the cubs game was exciting. Hope to visit again. Thanks for everything.

I didn't want to let too much time go by before I wrote to let you know how much my family and I enjoyed out stay at your condo!
It was perfect for the weekend that we spent celebrating our daughter's graduation from DePaul Law. I did get a chance to view the upstairs condo while the ladies were cleaning it on Monday before we left......hope to stay there soon!

Dear Teri--you and the Wrigley Suite win the travel Oscar! Your "home" was just so perfect for our family visit last week. It definitely made the trip much more enjoyable for all of us. We are experienced travelers all over the world. And our family has gone on several group vacations together. But your decor, fittings, fixtures, layout and overall ambience put our stay in a whole new class of comfort, relaxation and fun -- PLUS the unique benefits of the neighborhood.
We tried to treat your home as our own and clean up as we would expect in our house. I hope you found the apartment, kitchen, bathrooms, keys, etc. all to your satisfaction.

Hi Teri- My daughter made pico-de-gallo for the grad party yesterday. We inadvertently left the white souffle dish at Isaac's apartment. He just called me and will plan to drop by and leave it on the front porch with a sign that says "3rd floor condo"....Sorry about that but wanted to let you know....
We really had a great time. Our stay at your place with all the artwork and the nice furnishings made it very special for our family celebration. Thanks much and perhaps we'll have a reason to rent again someday!! We love the neighborhood for sure!

Hi Teri ---I wanted to send a quick email to tell you how much we enjoyed out weekend in Chicago. While I'm sure everyone would have appreciated hot showers I can assure you no one dwelled on that aspect of the weekend. Instead we have been reminiscing about the wonderful conversation we were able to have hanging out in our pajamas with wine and cookies fresh from the oven. That would not have been possible in a hotel and that was the best part of our weekend. We all thought the house was beautiful and your attention to detail amazing. I would not be surprised if some of the women who live locally decide to stay there with family or friends again. If my own family is ever in need of a place to stay in Chicago you will be the first call I make.

Now that we are recovering from our wonderful, hectic, wedding weekend-I wanted to tell you how much everyone LOVED your beautiful guest homes!
"WOW"-was the comment we heard from all our family members and the bridal party that stayed in your 3 homes. Everyone was so happy that we could all stay in such warm and inviting homes and be together as a family sharing in our daughter's special bridal weekend.
Your Newport home was the sight of our "welcoming party" as our family and friends gathered from all over the midwest, plus Seattle, Baltimore, Colorado Springs and Dallas!! Everyone said that the home was the PERFECT setting-we all felt so welcomed by you and we so appreciated all your efforts on our behalf.
With so many "out-of-towners" coming to the wedding-we needed all your apartments and everyone loved them all.Many of our guests managed to get "Cubs" tickets for Friday afternoon and being able to walk to the game from each of the homes was a real plus!!
The welcoming baskets you placed in all the apartments were delicious-and your accomodating our often changing plans was so appreciated.
Even though you were going through a tough time yourself-you bent over backwards to help in all our little emergencies that cropped up-you went way above and beyond. Thank you so much for all you did to make our celebration even more special!!
We are already recommending you to all our friends and co-workers out here in the "burbs"and to anyone even thinking of coming to Chicago for a visit!!
Teri-your homes are a treasure-a gift to any visitors and we thank you with all our hearts for sharing them with our family for the wedding!!

Thank you so much for your outstanding hospitality during our stay at the Chicago Guest House. Mr. Yoshikawa, Mr. Uwatoko, Ms. Murai, Mr. Enokida and Kazuki enjoyed their visit to Chicago! Our first time leasing a condo turned out to be a wonderful experience and a memorable one.

Hi Terri! I just had to e-mail you to tell you how much we all enjoyed our stay at your guesthouse. The duplex was designed so beautiful and upscale...our guest were very impressed at how awesome the place looked. You made every ammenity available to us from pots and pans to cook with to the beautiful serving dishes to serve the food on, you even had a huge portfolio full of restaraunts and different things for my guest to do while they were here visiting. My out of town guest immediatly fell in love with the famous Wrigleyville area... that just made there visit. There was not one detail that you left out to make our stay a comfortable one and I just can't say enough about the guesthouse! Our guests said that they are ruined from staying anywhere else. Thanks for making our stay such an awesome one.

This is Doris ---we were at the guest house two nights. Thanks a lot. It was such a good answer to our family's needs. Only suggestion and I mean only - is that there should be a railing going down the basement steps. Our daughter-in-law, a victim of a stroke like disability very young chose the lower level for her family and it suited their needs so well. The walk in shower was great for her but the steps were hazardous. I took off my glasses so the bifocals didn't make me miss a step; I believe in hand rails. We found almost everything so clean, available and satisfactory - and good to get to talk to you too. It must have been a busy weekend for you.
Linda said she knew you were a nice lady from talking to you on the phone. And that's a compliment to you. It was an after Christmas treat for us from Iowa and for them from Ohio and Salisbury, MD to be gathered there. If you saw us take off on Friday morning in the snow and slush you must have thought we should have our heads examined. Barbara was the trooper. ( the handicapped lady of 49, she was stricken at age 28 and had the two kids, a boy- now 17 and a girl now 15 ) She loved walking in the snow and used her cane. We went down town on the El - if you can imagine! And to the Billy Goat Tavern for a loud "Double cheeseburger" the man kept ordering for us. Bryan wanted us to have some real Chicago experience. Barbara tires quite easily so she and Bruce got back to the room and had a nap before we went to the Bulls game on Friday night.
It was a fun couple days. Thanks too for letting us in early on Thursday. We then knew the value of getting out at 11 am on Saturday.
I hope we left things in good shape. I hope the tree made it. it was a beautiful tree and decorated nicely but it was getting dry. We came home and took most of our decorations down before it got so cold. Now near zero. We had a good New Years Day, working on Christmas cards ( a bit late BUT--)

Hi Teri--
We had a gorgeous wedding, perfect rehearsal dinner, many wonderful parties at your place. Yesterday I spent the entire day on Michigan Avenue with my brother and his wife, Art Institute and all. I love this city! Thank you for everything. We have decided to head back to Florida a couple of days earlier. My husband is ready to get back to work and warm weather.
I left you a couple of things -- a new red spatula, a bottle of white wine in the refrig and a half case of Indian River pink grapefruit that we shipped up here. They are practically from our back yard in Vero, and are absolutely delicious, Taste like candy.
Thanks for everything. I think I broke a little Chicago cutlery knife while trying to get my chilled fudge out of the pan I made it in. (The tip is gone and that's all I can think of!) I am happy to replace that for you if you know where to buy one and I can reimburse you, or I could go online and find it and send it to you.
Thanks again for everything. We all loved being in this wonderful house for Christmas and all these happy events.

Hi Teri,
Well, we just wanted to say that we had a wonderful time staying at the lakewood house during Christmas. Everyone (our visitors) just kept saying how nice it was and also want me to forward them the information. I will although I felt like it was my little secret! :o)
Also, Adriana was just wonderful. I felt totally comfortable leaving Griffin with her and she is very sweet.
Anyway, I hope you had a nice and relaxing rest of your holiday (minus the water heater thing). We will probably get in touch with you again over summer for another trip. We are still making the decision and think it would be a slam dunk in the spring/summer season. :o)

Review Text: "The property we stayed was in excellent condition. It was clean, well-maintained, well supplied (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton balls, Q-tips, etc.). Just about anything you could think of was supplied. There was also a full kitchen (pots, dishes, etc.) and supplies were left for us to make breakfast as well as cheese and crackers . The apartment was also decorated beautifully and since we had a large group have a living room and dining room made our stay feel much more like home. The location was close to public transportation and made traveling convenient. The price was also excellent. I would definitely recommend same to anyone and if I ever get back to the Chicago area would love to stay there again."

Dear Teri,
Our time in Chicago was absolutely Fabulous!!!! Your home and all it's amenities was, without a doubt, the best part of the whole trip! We saw lots of Chicago, and it was great; but, our time at the house was the absolute best! We had such a great time being together, we had other family members over on Sat. night for a party in the back yard, and everyone just loved everything. Your decorating is truly outstanding. In addition to looking like straight out of Architectural Digest, the home is truly comfortable! You've really done a wonderful job. I hope that the house was not in too much distress....We tried to leave it in just a used, but not abused state!!!
We are soooo sorry about the mix up regarding our leaving. I would imagine you got the info from Judy and David and their family, who all left @ 8 am. Sun. morning. We had planned on leaving @ 11, but after talking to you that morning, we were able to make it @ 10:30!!! I'm hoping it was not too much a problem. We told the girls to come in while we were loading up, but they waited till we were gone. I'm hoping that we didn't leave anything. We have not discovered any losses yet, but with a group of 20, it's hard to keep track of stuff, as well as each other!!
The kids had such a fun/fine time. We took in the Shedd, Museum of Science and Ind., Hancock, Navy Pier, Park, and just didn't have time for the Zoo, which is sad, but something to look forward to! We also had fun just walking and taking public trans. We got CTA passes, and it worked out great.
Well, I just wanted to touch base with you, thank you so very much for all your thoughtfulness, and after our time back in the City, we are ready to move back!!!! It's such a great city, there have been so many changes since we left, and they're all really for the good. Wrigleyville is really such a great place. One of our nephews lives close to the Lakewood House, so we were able to see lots of him while we were there.

Hi Teri,
We all had a great time in Chicago. What made the weekend perfect was your Guest house. It had everything we needed especially the central air conditioning. It was fully equipped with the best beddings, the biggest bath towels, the flat screen TV, the stereo and the washer & dryer. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable family weekend. If you get tired of managing guest houses, you would be a very successful decorator.
I had a good time at the marathon; the course is flat and covers all of Chicago. I was about 30 minutes off of my time and completed the marathon in 4 hours & 8 minutes. It was very hot and the spectators are similar to those in New York, they really cheered you on. From my view the race was very well organized, I had plenty of water and Gatorade.
When we were reading the big binder book on the desk about things to do and places to eat, we didn’t realize that the garage door opener was under it. We apparently opened the garage without realizing it.

A belated but heartfelt thank you for the wonderful week we spend in your house in Chicago. We all had a truly memorable time which was made perfect by staying at your house on Newport Avenue. We just arrived back home from Chicago and the wonderful experience in your Lakewood House in Lakeview. Our friends all loved it too, and it was SO nice to be all together instead of along the corridor of some hotel. Everything was so convenient especially with all the great information you have put together for guests.

We really loved staying at the Lakewood House and it was so great to have all of my family together in one place to celebrate my wedding - it truly made the entire experience memorable! I just wanted to send you a quick note to say thank you again and again and again!!! Ryan and I (and all of our friends) had a wonderful time in Chicago due in a MAJOR part to the fact that we got to stay at your house. I have to tell you that we all felt like royalty. It was funny too that the master bed and bath are the same color scheme as my house, same travertine in the bathroom, but definitely BIGGER! I swear it was like the luxury version of my own house. I have already started plans to merge my 2 bathrooms into one big one so I can have a shower like that! You have done a spectacular job in furnishing the houses and the artwork (which took me 2 days to figure out that you are responsible for most of it) amazing. I already have my mother in law scoping out the places - she's going to Chicago soon. I really hope to be able to book with you again in the future (probably just with my husband though!). Your great personality and hospitality really made our trip a memorable one! Thanks again for picking us up at the train stop too!!! All the best to you.

We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed you ever so charming place! We appreciate the effort you took in making our stay quite comfortable and convenient. Most of all, we enjoyed your personal touches-----the 'little museum' with all the artwork displayed that really made our stay even more interesting! Here is a picture drawn by Carabella (5yrs old) who loved your English garden so much, she picked some flowers for our center piece during meals; hope you didn't mind.

Just want to say thank you again for the great hospitality. We couldn't have chosen a better house and a better city to have our reunion at. Looking back now, even the power outage wasn't really a bother (well, actually we were lucky the power came on that night :). Everybody enjoyed themselves, the girls loved cooking in the kitchen because it was well-equipped, the kids loved the jetted tub, the boys were ecstatic we had internet access. There's only one thing we needed that would have made our stay perfect....just one more extra day to enjoy each other's company and enjoy your beautiful house.

Hi Teri. I have a very strange question for you. We stayed in your Southport Henderson House in July .. Jeff & I had the bedroom—I think it's salmon colored—with one bed that had two square pillows in addition to the regular pillows. It was not the master bedroom and not the bedroom with two beds. What I'm curious about is the brand of mattress on that bed, if it's not too inappropriate to ask. I have been unable to get adequate sleep for about a year now, and the only time during that year that I have slept a full night was at your guest house on that bed. I'm so crazy with sleep deprivation that I'm ready to put a new mattress on a credit card if I have to! I don't know how to test the mattresses at the store because you can't sleep on them for a whole night. Ugh.
