Born in Chicago, I have always been drawn to the arts. My grandfather was a professional jazz musician and performed with Benny Goodman. With entrepreneurial parents, an uncle who paints seascapes on the coast of California and Gloria Jean who began the gourmet coffee craze as my cousin, I was destined and prepared for the creative world of art.
When I paint, I reflect on the restorative aspects of life and nature as well as the invisible world. Choosing soothing yet evocative colors I build layers of texture which create uplifting energy some have called "earthy liturgies of land, sea and sky".
